We are the Homme
Forming in 2019, vocalist / guitarist Bryan Eich, bassist Connor Owens and drummer Dan Pfeifer started crafting songs that would eventually form the foundation for The Homme. While recording in Pfeifer's basement below the quiet suburbs of Long Island, New York, The Homme began blending a driving rhythm section with ambient guitars and anthemic synths floating above to formulate a sound reminiscent of their beach surroundings. With the addition of vocalist / guitarist Jay Sarle, The Homme laid a harmonic layer to support Eich's pop melodies that will leave listeners chanting their infectious choruses in a single voice.
It's often tough to find complexity in music built around simplicity, but The Homme make the case throughout their sound. On their debut single 'Silver Lake,' The Homme unabashedly anchor a pop melody around 60’s beach rock guitars, synth tidal waves and hot rod driving bass and drums to create this sonic ode to a Summer fling. On their self-produced Tides EP, the Homme continue to blend genres with ambient indie guitars, dreamy synths, soaring pop melodies, Latin rhythm, and driving grooves.
